There have been a few times when I’ve come across people who have applied for roles which they don’t fully understand. For instance, if you want to work for an airline who do long haul, then don’t apply for a short haul position with the airline as you might not be able to change down the line.
Once you’ve found the airline you wish to apply for, make sure to do your research to learn more about it and see if its values align with yours. Look over their social media platforms, read reviews and try to find current Cabin Crew for that airline who have a public platform who can answer your questions or provide a day in the life.
2. Make Sure You’ll Pass the Medical Examinations
Cabin crew applicants should ensure they will pass the medical examination before applying as Cabin Crew. The health of Cabin Crew is vital, as it is part of the job to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for passengers. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of any physical conditions which could potentially impact the ability to qualify as a Cabin Crew member before applying.

Cabin Crew applicants should talk to current employees to understand the role much better. Talking to current Cabin Crew members can help applicants gain insight into how working life is in the air. They can answer questions regarding the daily routine, working environment, customer service and the challenges and advantages of the job.
Additionally, getting in contact with current employees can inform applicants of certain hidden benefits of the role, such as discounts and staff benefits that you may not be aware of. They can also gain insight into the positives and negatives of the job from a more personal perspective, which is not always covered during the recruitment process.
There are usually FaceBook groups for new and potential Cabin Crew members run by current employees of the airline you wish to apply for. Some Cabin Crew are even public figures for their airline, like Ashley Smith, so try to find out if there are any who are for the airline you wish to work for as they usually have information that other people have already asked to know! Don’t contact someone unsolicited who works for the airline.
